HMA – MOTHERBOARD-LEVEL MEMORY ACQUISITION PLATFORM

High-Speed, Low-Level Memory Acquisition & Data Analysis

──────────────────────────────

📌 OVERVIEW

HMA is a specialized hardware platform designed for high-speed, low-level memory acquisition and data analysis in authorized environments.

Instead of relying on a conventional external DMA architecture, HMA is built around a modified retail AMD motherboard platform. Current configurations are based on selected MSI X670E and MSI X870E motherboards. The system performs memory acquisition through a dedicated motherboard-level implementation and transfers the acquired data to a secondary computer over a high-speed Ethernet connection.

──────────────────────────────

⚙️ HOW HMA WORKS

• Separated Architecture: HMA separates the acquisition system from the analysis system.

• Dedicated Data Path: The primary computer hosts the supported motherboard and network interface. Memory data is acquired at the hardware level and transmitted directly over a dedicated connection.

• Secondary System Processing: The secondary machine receives and processes all transmitted data.

• Zero Primary Overhead: Minimizes software footprint on the primary PC, operating without dedicated host-side software.

──────────────────────────────

🛠️ HARDWARE ARCHITECTURE

• Supported MSI X670E or MSI X870E motherboard (specifically modified and configured for HMA)

• 2× Intel X520-DA1 PCIe x4 10GbE network adapters

• Dedicated high-speed Ethernet / fiber connection

• Secondary computer for data reception and analysis

🚀 KEY ADVANTAGES

✅ Motherboard-Level Architecture: Acquisition operates at a lower hardware and firmware level than conventional software-based methods.

✅ Dedicated Data Path: High-speed data streaming directly to an independent secondary system.

✅ Minimal Host-Side Software: Operates without requiring a dedicated HMA application or driver on the primary PC.

✅ 10GbE High-Throughput: Intel X520-based 10-Gigabit networking ensures fast data transmission.

✅ Isolated Processing: Data decoding and analysis run entirely on the second machine.

✅ Retail Platform Base: Built on widely available MSI X670E and MSI X870E motherboards.

🔧 INSTALLATION

• Install the supported motherboard and network adapter into the primary system.

• Connect the dedicated 10GbE data link to the secondary computer.

• Run the receiving and processing environment on the secondary machine.

• No dedicated HMA application or driver required on the primary host.

(Note: Compatibility depends on exact motherboard revision, BIOS version, hardware setup, and receiving-side software).
